KoRn were in recent years to build a band that already had seen better days and in my opinion probably due to their glorious deeds in the 90s could even begin to never again for me (even though their last album in his own way was very solid). But when I then heard in late 2008 that Ross Robinson would produce their next album, I listened and thought it might be interesting to do it again the men to Jon Davis. Well a half years later it is now ready to make that album, with which the boys more than any other attempt in the 2000s to the early days of the first two albums. After listening to several times, I must admit that it is by Ross Robinson actually managed to create a sound that really in the 90s goes back much further than I had initially held ever imagined possible. Unlike "Take A Look In The Mirror" (her 2003s attempt to go to the roots), everything is not so predictable and designed to bombast, it's hard to describe, but at some points I thought on my part actually we would 1996/97. I want to say that the new material comes close to the classic first three albums, but it is on the full length considered become a damn strong album that total failures, as they were for example in rows present on "Untouchalbles" or "SYOTOS" so no way , avoids. The first song after the intro reminds us most on "Take A Look in the Mirror" times, but already from the next song "Pop A Pill" dive suddenly "sick" guitar riffs and a certain psychological factor on how I have not heard since "Life is Peachy". Similar to the first two longplayers the attention of the production does not lie on any of bombastic riffs and chart performance, but rather on subtlety and a disturbing atmosphere. I would also not expected to Head's departure that Munky can alter course so strong in itself, since he has acted in the last two outputs rather in the background. But he wears with his finally ultra deep gestimmtem Guitar game the whole plate, added Fieldys bass slapping. On top there is to hear how for years no longer, he whines, cries cries, lets his emotions finally run free a Jonathan Davis. The new drummer is doing quite well and acts as Silvera once, rather in the background, but you always have the impression that he dictates the pace and always in control. Let's just say that Robinson has actually managed to let KoRn again sound like we were there once lived times and the strengths, bass-slapping, deep guitar and intense vocal interpretation emphasized the sound. Because let's be honest, these factors have made unique KoRn, I at least know of no other band who managed to ever imitate this sound structure, if one compares times as many imitators such as Metallica, which sound just like the original.

Let's just say that it has Issues no KoRn album has managed to get by me 5 star and I would also not intended for the development of the band in the past 5 years, ever forgive again such a high rating on the Baker Fielder , But I can the album its class simply can not be denied and must say that the guys with their return who they really are, the surprise of the year has been achieved. So to all KoRn fans ... strong buy recommendation !!!!!
