I have after much back and forth now Brink gained (4 weeks ago). The different views on these game have let me think long.
My "first-person shooter experience" based on CS, CCS, the BF-series and BC2. In addition I have also gambled diverse UT versions.
I am in spite of this experience is certainly not the killer - but also does not have to be. Since the players have many BF2 rather scolded here on the game so I was wondering what to expect:
1. Graphics (5/5 points)
Criticism of the graphics I can not accept really. Everyone can and could see in advance what to expect. Who does not like this rather comic style should involve the advance in the purchase consideration with. Myself makes it from nothing. I need not then possibly die nor realistic forcing real-looking opponents ...
2. Sound / Music (4/5 points)
With Auto Play (as Dirt) I find the sound extremely important as eternal car humming gets on my bag. In FPS games will be provided by me as the first action of the controller for music to 0. Therefore, here I lack nothing.
The game sound is within the normal range. It's nothing fancy, but not primitive.
3. character layout (4/5 points)
The character can - I think - in almost any other game be tightened so diverse. The individual outfits are only released gradually and not be an equal available. I pers. Like the styles offered very very good.
Many complain that they themselves do not see. Ok - is just a FPS and the outfit is indeed meant to be used for the other players. But what I find well - in the various story elements of style is considered 100% tig.
4. Gameplay (4/5 points)
Single Player:
The SP mode is divided into two types: - tasks and - campaign
The task is essential in order to get weapons and equipment for it. I find pers. A little stupid because one has to rely on some tasks to working in, the bots. Unfortunately, these are really something stupid (at least the allies). I still lack a set of items and I do not know if I'll ever get the ...
But know a nice start to the game otherwise.
The campaign is available for both sides. However, the tasks largely identical (A: attack / B: defense). Again nerves sometimes the bots a bit since their game intelligence could be better. But there are just bots ...
The campaigns are fun and you collect XP for level up.
Multiplayer:
To date, not played!
Moves:
For me there has been no problems! Everything worked perfectly and I am impressed by the positive movement possibilities. The Gemopper I do not understand. Especially when I think of various graphical glitches with BF2 or BC2 ....
5. Items (5/5 points)
I think the skills of the individual weapons funny and the fact that you can upgrade your weapons makes it interesting. I'm missing here definitely nix. The combo - gun / knife is very effective.
6. Skills (- points)
Here I am not yet conclusive how to assess the skill options. This was partly because I am not yet so high in the level and skill many do not know yet. But it is also here so that a class is rather sparse. That's on top of the Agent. This class not yet access I lack. All other classes are more likely to default (Sani, soldier and technicians).
Well, I find that one obvious (not tested not) the chosen skills can reseten and so many different test can.
7. Price / Performance (5/5 points)
I currently play about 30 hours (or so) and have not regretted the purchase. Price / performance ratio was for me definitely !!!
All in all, 4/5 points. Why not 5 points? Something I still lack.
For me, definitely a must !!!
