Initially, my partner and I were thrilled. No more clicking, at least not with the two main keys. Since March 2015 ie after only about three months normal daily use, however, the mouse crunches when the left main button. This should not happen in a brand product. The crunch is as loud as a normal click.
***** UPDATE 31 May 2014: *****
The crunch has been a few days off after it has annoyed me for almost three months. What is the reason, I can not say, but it suddenly became noticeably less and less and was then completely disappeared. Therefore, I have increased my one-star rating to four stars. So, dear fellow sufferers, give up hope!
My remaining text of the time I leave there, which follows below.
****** Original text for crunch: *****
One might explain that with the usual 10 percent outliers, but here on Amazon you can unfortunately see relatively well, there seems to manufacturing problems and a weak quality assurance in this mouse, because the negative judgments (1 + 2 star) about 20 percent of the GNTB. (april 2015) occupy nearly 400 votes. The crunch is often mentioned in negative reviews. Another problem is obviously inadequate radio communications, they are with me but not yet occurred. Only the first contact of the radio module with its mouse proved something hakelig, but after pulling / plugging and mouse Reboot + Pairing is the function in order. For easier Verwirrnis helps the obviously shining in the invisible spectrum laser mouse. This "feature" can feel free to save, even if it impresses at first glance.
Therefore, it is already written into the company Hama specifications, rectify here. Compared to all other wireless mice, the Silent Mouse is perhaps a niche product, but certainly has its place in the market. The technology is not all that spectacular, eventually all of my 5 Dell laptops have soundless Trackingpad keys. Still, I'm willing, like many others, spend a little more money for this feature, as example for a mouse of M $ or Logitech, the clickt loud. However, since these mice have a long life and good build quality, I do not see why not Hama also should comply with quality standards like the competition.
Just a word to the other buttons on the mouse, which are not silent: From my side you can at least save the thumb buttons and possibly assign a gaming model, instead, it would be better, the Tilt Wheel also stumzuschalten, at least those that the middle mouse button ( represents upon depression of the wheel).
Finally, as a general design criticism, should not be mentioned that the only mouse for right-handed is well suited. My younger daughter, who is left-handed, with whom he had a bad feeling in the hand.
