Absolutely top are the following songs:
"Stay" thrilled with a refreshing sound that comes along very southern. Cool wind sounds and a Big Band - Feeling the finest real fun, and has also Cyndi, as you can hear well.
In "If You Go Away" departing from unit sound something. This ballad looks bleak, Cyndi's voice authentic and painful stresses. The sound vibrates monotonous and melancholy in the background, and is enhanced by a beautiful cello. In this combination, just awesome.
"Do not Let Me Be Misunderstood" is really saustark interpreted by Cyndi. The verses are kept quiet and then the chorus bursts the full power of woman Lauper out. She is only accompanied by a piano. The song caused me goosebumps, what probably Cyndi brilliant voice is to blame.
"On the Sunny Side of the Street" is similarly lightly as "Stay" therefore. Pure good mood, a nice danceable rhythm and sound. The really fun and leaves no sitting quietly, just come to the sunny side of the album.
Cyndi gives the classics their own touch. Some stands this well others come not as good over. In any case, they enriched with this album the music world, and it's nice that it has interpreted this title in their own way, even if "At last" quite strenuous acts in full length on my ears. Here then is probably true to the rule that high-class, handmade music is not always easy to hear. In any case, this is not easy-listening album. Very successful is the way the design of the CD. The cover photo exudes a stunning and cool beauty, the fully inspired me. In the booklet are still a few small photos to see in black and white, that complete the beautiful album concept well.
