Hello There, I'm actually not a review writer but this time I have to give my time to comment on this product! Because I am very enthusiastic about technology (to the chagrin of my wife), I wanted to buy myself after almost 3 years with my LG 55LM671 a more current product. Since the TV from Amazon is just on offer (for 799, the MM as LB730 999) I just slammed and ordered this TV. Delivery was (ordered Monday night, Wednesday delivered) as most top. Of course, I immediately made me to build and install. The structure is really simple and to the Folienabzieher once you open the box you see immediately a sticker which prohibits this strictly! The TV looks very pleasing from but not quite as noble as my LM671. So TV portrayed and directed (he has unfortunately not rotatable foot as the LM671) and finally turned. 1st disappointment, it takes an eternity until something happens on the screen. Eventually a bird appears and you can then perform Setup. This is relatively simple but very tough, especially since I do not use all Internetkram to which I have a computer! So finally completed initial setup, turned Bluray player and ... nothing happens! So Input button is pressed, and found that the TV is in receive mode (cable, satellite, etc.) even though I've entered external set-top box in this step. Strangely, he shows me no other input, even though HDMI is 1 occupied. Then found that you have to add each input manually into the Input menu (corrosive). So added this input selected (again this annoying delay when switching) and lo and behold, a picture! Configure now first in the setting of the input, as the standard image, is underground as almost every TV. Elected the ISF1 mode and already a clear image enhancement, a little adjusted (that is nunmal individually different, because each person sees something different). This setting would be in itself a problem if it were not this extremely sluggish menu. In every other keystroke the cursor brief reflection freezes, then it goes on. The settings themselves can be very used to and I think is very awkward to make that describe blows here the frame. In my LM671 which is much easier and self-explanatory. What LG has this meant to a very simple menu funktionierdes and so disfigure and make complicated? Anyway, I eventually, after eltlichen teeth grinding, finish the settings and was pleased with the picture. Now the ultimate test of the illumination of the panel. Darkened room, test pattern loaded and really positive surprise. The panel is almost uniformly illuminated with minmalen edge lights on the right side, but wirlich negligible. Here the first improvements to the LM671, but is illuminated quite evenly by his standards just the Edge lighting (LEDs sit in the edge) can not deny. Here, the direct-LED technology of LB731 really makes a positive impact! So lean back and tested various Blurays short, with the result that even the black bars top and bottom remain black (here I always had a little cloudy in the corners with my LM671) and the picture showed all the subtleties anyway. Allerdisngs I realized little by a slight hum, depending on how bright the panel was. Not particularly disturbing but perceptible precisely in quiet scenes. Whether it comes from the panel or from the power supply, I can not say exactly. Then I made a mistake and wanted to test but the built-in tuner. Satkabel connected again eye call this annoying and illogical menu, starts searching for stations and then start TV reception. No. 1 and 2 were located ARD and ZDF HD, but the image quality was below expectations. By comparison, my Kathrein receivers as connected and behold, the image is reflected back Brilliant as usual. Now comes the hammer, at number 3-10 were the private channels RTL Sat1 etc. but in HD, thus without HD + not emfangbar. What is this, after a long search I found the transmitter without HD in places beyond 1200. Now my attempt to sort the channel lists, capitulated in a nutshell, I have! It was not at all! I have even taken the Bediengsanleitung at hand but I could not sort channels. In my view, the built-Tuner is abysmal and the associated software adapts to this level. This was also the point at which I decided against the TV and sent him back. My "old" TV has a least as brilliant image with slight limitations in terms of illumination, but easy to use a whole lot easier and has a better tuner and the software is absolutely easy to use and has also made a larger adjustment range (eg, can be even set the automatic mode of the light sensor, which is not possible with the current device). My conclusion is: who simply needs a big screen is clicked once, by the software jungle and then max. the inputs change, can be happy with the TV. Who but the internal tuner needed a little like playing with the settings or the smart functions uses (which I have not tested but already the menu makes it almost impossible), the finger should be from the TV or from any LG TV with Web OS. I'm going to now times a LG TV Watch with Netcast as software or to turn to another company or I simply keep my LM 671 to the OLED TV's have become more affordable and offered not only curved ;-) Maybe I could help one or the other in his decision.
