For those who like me Robert Zimmerman's debut album has with the simple title "Bob Dylan" for 53 years, there is nothing new on this album. There is just the first LP back again. On the other CD the lamest songs are united, the Frank Sinatra ever sang to lull mafia bosses and Robert Zimmerman Unfortunately nachgejammert on his CD "Shadows in the night". WHEN Robert Zimmerman already thinks they have to sing some of the Mafia Barden - whether "covers" or "uncovern", as he calls it in his own defense - then he would have at least halfway to select bearable titles such as "That's Life" "It was a very good year," "I get a kick out of you", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "The Lady Is A Tramp", "Mack the knife", "New York New York "" Strangers in the night ", or similar - but what makes Robert Zimmerman ????? He seeks out the lamest sleeping pills out that these Sinatra ever committed a crime and presents it to the audience falling asleep.
I am aware that there are fans who follow Mr. Zimmerman himself to death and therefore find any crap good, he dovetailed. Although I have all of it, but I am not married to him, and therefore able to consider this album as a sober nadir of his artistic development. Reminder: The highlight of 1989 was "Oh Mercy" - that was music!
My verdict: For the person who owns Robert Zimmerman's first album, this is completely unnecessary. Whoever does not have, should rather buy that debut album and save yourself the Sinatra-sleeping pills.
