HP Pavilion DV7 with:
Thanks to other reviews I knew I had boot from the cd.
Still I was not able to use the software for my bios is UEFI with GPT partition tables. I have spent the legacy bios and disabled secure bios, which allowed me to boot to the CD and launch acronit (nice gui interface with the mouse) unfortunately at every attempt to step 5 cloning was interrupted due to an error.
I then tried under win with 8.1 easyUS todo the same way but after a while (the same place) easyus todo was interrupted due to an error (always the same)
A priori it is really not easy to clone a UEFI system
In searching I ended up falling on testimonies of people who had the same problem and advising the paragon software "bone to migrate ssd" version 3 (they are in to. 4) and death in the soul I bought the app (under 15 for a family license station) and there it worked without problem under win 8.1. less than an hour to copy usb3
Then no problem during the physical installation of SSD to boot uppers UEFI bios disabled security (I have not tried restoring security)
I put 3 * for there is no manual supplied with the kit, or with the m500 ssd. It directs us towards [...] but either we accept the redirect to the site that FR is less complete (I did not find the refreshed pdf manuals on the US version) night we rest on .com but in English.
Anyway I found the installation information of the SSD but not really KIT acronit. But by following the procedure albeit very simple: boot from the cd, I never have led to the cloning of the hdd sdd even passing the legacy bios. But there is no warning about it easily accessible on the site or the case.
As against the USB cable is 3 and very fast PC with a suitable and convenient even if I had to use another program to the end. So purchase still useful.
