Canned Heat- a blues legend is getting better

Friends in the Can (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Canned Heat had for me in the 60s, although some great hits, but somehow no album. But that has changed with the boogie the new foundation, the only drummer Fito del la Parra belongs as original member, and 2000 album. And their successors Friends in a can is just as strong. The direction of the Blues and the many facets. The first eight songs convince completely, before the songs with guest appearances by stars such as John Lee Hooker, Taj Mahal, Roy Rogers and many more to me personally a bit too long and monotonous, as it is the blues in its purest form, which is not bad , on this album, but something bothers. But are listening without a doubt.
However, the first eight songs are sheer madness. Outstanding the interplay of two guitarists John Paul and Dallas Hodge and the harp playing and flute playing of Stanley Behrens. The rhythm base provide Fito de la Parra and bass Greg Kage. Initially make the bluesy-drying Same old games and Bad Trouble. The next three songs are world class Blue. Strong Black Coffee, the rocking Getaway with strong guitar riffs and jazzy-bluesy It do not matter. A new recording of Let's work together without major change, the mood Blues 1,2,3 Here we go again with a guitar solo madness, which itself increases more and more (Live madness) and written by bassist That Fat Cat are more Supersongs.
Canned Heat is a band that I enjoy. I could already see them live twice. And their new boards Boogie 2000 and Friends in a can are just as strong.
