I was skeptical before starting the book because knowing a little Mankell, I was afraid of having to keep the jacket reading another Swedish author. The first volume is absolutely amazing !!! This is the first book I read to develop as many subjects at once without ever being boring or complicated: deviance, the fate of the people "different", violence, wealth, power, handling, family, sexuality, morality, integrity, in short, lots of topics that perfectly overlap each other and all this took place in the most perfect simplicity. The author takes us from the first pages in his universe and the characters Lisbeth and Michael are very endearing. I look forward to the change over from history. I ran to buy the second volume before having completed the first for fear of breaking the wire. Do not hesitate to order it !!!
