I collect for years x-mas albums by various artists, and so I was very excited about this album - and extremely disappointed, after I heard it. Who makes today a Christmas plate on which half of the songs were already 100x encrypted and processed, the something really needs to come up with witty, but the arrangements that we hear here are so uninspired and carelessly cobbled together that it really is almost unbearable. If you, however, the ingenious arrangements of now three Christmas albums by Amy Grant heard ... The "original" the CD sound like when Ashanti was once just sat down with her producer an afternoon and cut to pieces a few tunes. The very first song, "Christmas Time Again" consists of an eight-bar harmonic progression, which is then repeated for several minutes to an unbearable, just incredibly boring. If you then continue by listening, you will always be trying the "Next" button to press on the CD player, in the hope that maybe at least one song can please. But none, only the ballad "Time of Year" can reasonably fallen. Then the sound - a very aggressive mix full mids and some annoying heights, compressed up to the pain threshold, dynamic ade ... Of course pretty much not an instrument of this CD is really played, I guess that 95% come from the computer - well , then it was at least not as expensive. Conclusion: the purchase of this CD I can only strongly advise against, I recommend to all x-mas fans the three CDs that Amy Grant has released since a piece is more beautiful than the other. Highly recommended for Soul fans are also the two x-mas CDs by Vanessa Williams. Merry Christmas!
