Have an older Acer TravelMate 4050 been given, in which, inter alia, the 40GB Toshiba hard drive was defective.
In Mindfactory there is only one for 95 euros, nowhere else, that exceeded the value of the notebook by far.

For 16 euros I got here a brand new, unformatted Hitachi HTS421240H9AT00.
Goods description according to 2.5 ", IDE, 40 GB, 4200 RPM.
Price / performance class.
