That is why we have already flirted more with a vacuum cleaner robot, where my wife was skeptical.
Until now we had something but still too expensive until we discovered the Dirt Devil.
Over a month ago, we then ordered a date and are excited.
One needs to be aware that he is not a substitute for "thorough" vacuuming. Since then, we have to have it, but we are no longer so often suck and there are a total clean out because we run it like after breakfast.
Suction is good, except for larger chunks he sucks it all away. We live in a house with an open kitchen and thus have no corners where he can get lost big, he travels in the short hour runtime from the whole room.
He is very particular about what is due to the not very sophisticated programming. He disappears ever 10min under the couch or traveling the same small niche at several times.
From smooth floors to carpets he comes up just as easily when one adjusts the sensor. This showed us a trick.
We have tested the suction intensively on the stairs and he turned always on time. Our staircase consists of a central stringer (see picture) and that can bring the nipple out of step. In stage three of 5 it can happen that he goes too far in front of the stairs to the top of the spar and then turn away when the wheel comes over the edge! So if you also as a staircase has to be careful when using.
The upper floor with many rooms, it sucks good, but he is not expected to make all the rooms completely, because it is in a sometimes too long on the road.
Durability is not yet good, but he is quickly scratched because it is geschrabt under couch to a Tackernadeln along. The brushes are also ok after a month use. But the replacement brushes are very expensive because a ca 10 costs. after all, one has to replace it.
Conclusion: Affordable yet useful! Good suction power
