With the song Coldplay Christmas Lights is again a brilliant achievement succeeded. It curries favor not pushy like many other newfangled carols, but slowly, only after repeated listening ear. Initially rather decent but steadily with piano accompaniment, the song finally the clock alternates the center over to the chorus. The passages about a thwarted love and the mentioned hope that they come back again and all sorrow may pass fit in old Coldplay-style together well. For me the song exudes a peaceful, hopeful and even festive atmosphere fit for the holiday season. The music video was added at the Thames in London is by the way also worth seeing!
