Customer Review

The new album "Rock Steady" is therefore very pop, ska and punk what diehard fans will not taste. But that would have been able to think almost after frontwoman Gwen Stefani successfully converted during the year together with Eve and Dr.Dre on black music paths. Still No Doubt is here an excellent piece pop succeeded where everyone can abgewinnen something, be it reggae, guitar rock, or sometimes a beautiful ballad a la "Do not speak".
What this album differs from his predecessors and from other bands is the fact that No Doubt had the courage to explore other paths, probably to scare in the knowledge the more hardcore fans, but perhaps to gain new ones.
In "Return to Saturn" was sought unfortunately in vain for a real hit. Also it is "Rock Steady" is different. It impresses with catchy melodies, which is, however, too far in many cases; because up to four "real songs" composed most of the material from simple themes and choruses. In principle, a nice idea, but in part, five minutes each affects the somewhat monotonous and tiresome.
The songs "Hey Baby", "Hella Good" Underneath It All, "Do not let me down" and "Running" have hit potential! All in all a round thing, listen worthwhile.
