On this DVD I became aware through a large poster on which was written: 'Nirvana' Live '. I was already clear that this would probably not happen anno 2009, but it was an advertisement for a DVD, I have not checked directly. When I passed by tram because I thought how cool it would be to have this band actually seen one live. A small consolation provides 'Nirvana Live At Reading' after all. In 1992, the marriage of the grunge and Nirvana were in the wake of Nevermind the whole world with her, we call it special, bless appearances. Before it was Kurt Cobain noted live, how much his role as a supposed 'voice of a generation' disgusted him, there were always concerts, which occupied the playfulness and anarchy that spread Nirvana on stage authentic. Of course, Kurt had in 1992 been struggling with drugs and there were ugly clashes with the press, however, was still little sense to the embittered 'Deathrocker', to which Cobain eventually appointed himself on stage. Who wants to see a sad person's documentation, which the MTV Live'n'Loud Concert 1993 had warmly recommended, showing a feeble physically unstable people on the mike, the bored and pissed off the set down plays. This is but to their appearance at the Reading Festival in 1992, which in 2009 finally captured on DVD, or CD. Both are available as Limited Edition in the package. From the audience is nothing to see in these photographs, which is a shame. Some impressions of the fans would have certainly contributed to the atmosphere. Nevertheless, the concert a lot of fun, just Cobain appearance may be seen on the stage in a wheelchair, followed by a little slapstick deposit. Smells Like Teen Spirit is sometimes just initiated with Boston More Than A Feeling, because the chord structure is very similar but before the overheating is played. The solo in the song is then processed by Cobain neatly into mincemeat. Wen something annoys, who probably have not seen many performances of Nirvana. These intentionally built noise attacks you should take with humor, but they show the typical band mentality. Nirvana were probably the grunge band who lived out their punk influences most impressive. It's all about energy and music as an outlet and not to clean the keyboard notes. All 25 songs playing Nirvana on this special evening, on the CD, however, have only 24 managed. Why, you can admire on the DVD. Some will shake their heads in the face of such unprofessionalism, but I have my half limp laughed when Cobain song Lovebuzz begins with completely untuned guitar, then begins middle of a song, to tune the guitar, and a good piece entirely to ended up back alongside the pitch. The whole including a small improvisation that sounds like a twelve year old the first time the electric guitar lessons. He deserves respect already, so subtract a Komplettverarsche front of a huge festival audiences. To press the song on CD, really would have been absurd, but on DVD it is something of a highlight of the show. Befitting all the equipment is at the end of the show zerdeppert course. It may well be that there have been far better concerts of the band that were not recorded professionally in these circumstances with a very good image and even better sound. Therefore, subject to a full purchase recommendation for this DVD. Who wants to know why this band as pleasant differs from most inflated, arrogant rock bands of that time, which is right here. For fans anyway a must buy.
