I do not understand some product reviewer genuine. Coldplay was in 2014 suddenly famous (for me they were there for a long time) with the hit "Sky Full of Stars". So, apparently everyone who has bought this album thinking that there will now only Rockige pieces on it ... I'm so sorry, but "Sky Full of Stars" is actually a small party song, but you should pay attention to the text , He is anything but "Party-rate". Anyway, I'm saying that if the album already "Ghost Stories" is, (Engl. Witching Hour (s)) then you hear actually already on titles that are rather slow ballads on it ... I just find it unfair that some people here this wonderful band, know only one song here and immediately think that they are something like "One Direction" or so. Because Coldplay is for kiddies under 15 years (I think with my 17 years) is not made. This band has years of experience in the music business, and attaches great importance to their albums and fans, so I also think that this band, one of the few, not raised band.
For the album itself, I can find only positive. It is again a distinctive Chris Martin to hear as the lead singer, the clever repeatedly used his voice and the various tones of voice dominated wonderful. In addition one can also say that the instruments are a true feast for the ears. For the most part you can hear the piano here and there, but there are also some "whitening" songs here, such as "ink" or "Magic". Besides, I can repeat the lyrics are written really wonderful and each instrument will fit very well to it only.
All in all, I love the album! It is designed beautifully and it is, as always, a little passion in the entire album that you feel also unmistakable. :) Keep up Coldplay!
