Collector's Edition a complete disappointment

The Sims are back and this time even come in a collector's edition for fans. Here is what allows to EA with the CE, an outrage and a slap in the face for all fans of The Sims. For a surcharge you get nowhere near the commanded what is on it. A brief overview:

- The CE Packaging is on the front as the exclusive content: Strategy Guide with tips and tricks of PRIMA. A Tips and Tricks booklet (only 8 pages) that more advertising flyers is as real game help, is for me a book (according to the official definition of UNESCO, moreover, not even).
- The Simpoints that are advertised as exclusively on the packaging, everyone gets who registers on the Sims-page (whether validated or not). There you can exchange them for content that EA from the outset in the game would have to implement it in an overpriced shop.
- The packaging exclusive game content (majority) are advertised. However, to find is just a game contents (singular), namely the download code for the car, if one has been downloading then done it, even in the game for many Simelons may purchase (the currency of the Sims).
- The USB flash drive is the only reason why the purchase would be worth at all, because this comes in a very chic Plumbob design. Here, however, one should seriously consider whether you really want to pay the more money for a drive, the EA itself has probably cost no more than a few cents.
- Too bad also that it takes the entire Sims soundtrack (which is actually really good) only the title song made it into MP3 form on the stick.
- The last point I want to emphasize at the CE is that the manual has a worse quality than the normal version although it should actually be the other way round.

Conclusion: The Collector's Edition is a price not worth it. Who wants to buy the Sims themselves, should rather resort to cheaper regular version.

For the game itself:

+ Open and particularly lively neighborhood

+ Almost no loading times

+ Almost infinite design possibilities of home and hearth

+ Greater design possibilities when creating the Sims (at least in the face, body, hair color etc. terms), which the Sims look even more realistic

+ Better AI: My Sims starve at least not the same when I got to go than 5 minutes

+ Nice graphics (at least at high settings)

+ Revised Fähigkeiten- and Job System creates new challenges

-open neighborhood, well and good, but through work and gratification to get unfortunately seldom out (especially if you're still such a time-consuming hobby like gardening) ... apart from the fact there is not really much to see in the city (because it stores etc. can not enter and save a few events such as barbecues, etc. are nothing really special)

Although -I like the fact that the neighborhood with growing and aging, but unfortunately the whole thing was just not well solved. Single men and women just get this child placed in front of the door to which it then not even care. So the children are partially in the garden until they are old enough to climb stairs. Accordingly, many later generations of the Sims got bad properties in the cradle.

-Many bugs (off the story mode does not work properly, etc.)

-many "Verschlimmbesserungen" (eg missing animation when embarking and disembarking possible into / out of the car, no baby, no bathing of infants more etc.)

-to little furniture, clothing etc. Of course, everyone can make the items according to his taste, but that makes a guitar still long no piano (to say the least). Although I do not often play the game, I already have every item from the purchase menu in the home of my Sims

-no adjustment of height, also I would have generally more design possibilities of the physique (chest, waist, legs ratio: Waist) desired

-More hairstyles or at least the ability to adjust the length of your hair

-bisher no way as its own in Sims2 furniture, hairstyles, clothes etc. to create. One has the feeling that the Community is artificially switched off in favor of EA Stores

-beliebte addons like Seasons / Weather have not been implemented into the basic game, even though it would have presented no problem

-The Eula is a single impudence and allows EA to collect all possible information about its customers

-bisher too little long-term motivation

Conclusion: The game has earned in its present form, despite all the shortcomings solid 4 stars. Nevertheless, one can only hope that EA with extensions (which hopefully have a moderate price) and patches nachbessert so that one does not get lost in the game, the joy.
