# Impression Packing:
The first thing that strikes you is the huge USK logo on the otherwise beautiful N7 Armor Cover (see Amazon Product Image) followed from the fact that the N7-cover shell is not Steelbox but just an ordinary cardboard slipcase.
Although the fact is the Steelbox with three DVDs instead but the N7 cover to use, two, quality published by a gloss effect, 'sticker' is printed. On the front, John Shepard and on the back a 'Collector' Alien.
In my subjective opinion, this looks a little cheap, you had a very nice picture is available, which you could use and can also be equipped with light engravings but ...
The Steelbox itself contains slots for all 3 DVDs, the 2nd game disc does not like in the 'normal' version of the game in a cardboard cover languishing.
Any additional content are to be found in a separate little complicated cardboard packaging, which has its place alongside the Steelbox within the Pappschubers.
# Bonus DVD:
In about 24 minute making-of speak producers, developers and voice (English) about the things that make the game, always supported by fast cut-game material. Unfortunately, the whole video material looks more like a Lobhuldigung of the game, instead of the expected making-ofs. Real information obtained not only by playing Mass Effect 2 are sown rar. Here I would have liked more information on the development process and various anecdotes that the game is great, you do not necessarily tell a buyer of the game 50x within 24 minutes;)
The video is entirely in English and without subtitles.
Furthermore, 11 trailer of the game and the wallpaper the official website of all sizes on the DVD. The trailer, however, not to make them any archive on the home computer to be able to as separate files.
# Artbook:
The accompanying art book is a much better: The hardcover is massive and high quality, the paper used would, however, may be a little thicker.
The 47 illustrated pages offer beautiful artwork and treating Charackterzeichnungen, about planets as well as vehicles and weapons a bit of everything. Almost every picture has a few sentences in English to explain or development processes get donated.

A 22-page comic book with the name "Redemption" the CE is also included.
The first seven pages you could download long before the release date of the game on the Internet as an official excerpt.
Said comic is of "Dark Horse Comics" published (the best-known American comic book publisher) and actually offers extravagantly colorized drawings and a prequel to Mass Effect 2 whose protagonist Liara T'Soni is a main character from Mass Effect. 1
The comic is completely in English, and indeed only the first part of four, which have not yet been fully published. Here it is worth more likely to wait for an anthology, then perhaps also appears in German. So now it is in the comic by only 15 truly new pages that are likely to be understood as an appetizer, as part of history, of course, ends with a so-called Cliffhanger ...
# DLC, Cerberus Network:
To get the new armor / weapon, you have to register on the internet at first. An EA-account must be created or available for free. This EA-account must then be extended to the ID of the Cerberus Network card, to be at all for DLC (Downloadable Content) approved. The Cerberus card in the CE is the same as in the normal, only that the CE version is made of hard plastic, similar to a bank card ... relatively meaningless, because you have to enter the code printed on the card once and this otherwise remains useless.
After the registration of the EA account and enter the Cerberus code you can then enter the code for your CE armor / weapon which you download and install must, before they can use the in-game objects.
The armor provides a new model for its complete armor (see Amazon image "The exclusive in-game Item Set") and can bring you a slight improvement of their combat values.
Because armor barely make sense of changes in Mass Effect 2 towards a more 'shooterlastigem' action-RPG, except her appearance and minor values impact, this DLC rather as nice little bonus. The weapon I have not gotten in the game so far and can not say to much.
After all the number entry you will be comfortable, whenever you want, forwarded via the game menu on a Web page where you can download all of their previously acquired or provided free of charge DLCs.
* Note:
If you're thinking about this game eventually resell, so you should except Mass Effect 2 is no further play more with your EA account / email address to register as all DLCs refer to exactly this account. Alternatively, your buyers will be without DLCs, or indulge buy for 15 a Cerberus Network code in the first place to get the opportunity to acquire DLCs. Because even the 'normal' version there is a Cerberus Code whose resale is also problematic! Armour and weapon of the CE may not be bought by the way -> you should use the CE COMPLETE want to resell, you must also pass your EA account to the person concerned. In the latter case you should, however, view the EULA for your EA account to ensure that EA a passing / deletion of accounts also permitted.
# Conclusion:
At the end remains for me as a reason to buy the Collector's Edition only
May be artbook * * and perhaps the * * Steelbox left, which would be so much nicer!
And if only for an extra charge of temporarily up to 40 is appropriate, everyone must decide for yourself!
The game has been really a gem and if you want to buy Mass Effect 2, so I can put the 'normal' version of the game only to my heart!
Unless you are interested DLCs, you need no registrations of any kind to make! Fortunately, remains the only copy of Mass Effect 2, which are to have DVD in the drive of your computer.
However, the purchase of the Collector's Edition I have because of too low content / quality unfortunately dissuade ...
(The 2 stars refer only to the Collector's Edition, the game itself has earned a lot more!)
