I do not know if it's just me, but I feel in songs by Jeff Lynne easily at home. Whether now these covers or the old ELO stuff, his songs just radiate warmth and security. That can not be many. George Harrison still occurs to me - no wonder that the two once came together. Certainly so willed, but a bit strange is the arg dull sound of the album. Apparently comes 2013 Lynne album with original songs out, so why should he not sometimes make a cover album. In his memoirs from the 50s and 60s can be heard here and there already, which ELO song could have arisen from it. In "Beyond The Sea" one thinks back to the partially insane IDLE RACE days. Retrieved from "Running Scared" love Jeff would probably better left his fingers. It has just the incomparable Roy Orbison in the ear and as well as he, that someone will never be able to sing. Otherwise, there are no dropouts - great record.
