'Brothers In Arms' was a real bestseller in the 80's. Back when the pop world was still in order, which often enough pointed out on good music. And so that is also true here. More upbeat, pop songs like 'Money For Nothing' (in the for my discretion to long 8-minute version) and 'Walk Of Live' are available as well as the shallow 'So Far Away', the romantic saxophone ballad 'Your Latest Trick' (in the live version of 'On The Night' again a lot better because of dynamic) as well as more sophisticated pieces such as 'Ride Across The River' (send panpipe) and 'The Man's To Strong' (very cool always recurrent loud riffs in between). 'One World', however, is the most rocking number of the album, 'Why Worry' an atmospheric, quiet numbers. Finally, there's the soulful 'Brothers in Arms' a real rock classic. A thoughtful song packs from the first minute and gets more intense. Simply divine the permanently solierende guitar, especially the class Keyboards, celebrating their high point from Minute 5:37. Who has not heard the piece has neatly missed something.
By the way took place a line-up change with this album. Keyboardist Guy Fletcher replaced the guitarist Hal Lindes have alighted.
