Commissioning:
This was thanks to Quick Start Guide no problem connecting with me on LAN, and the driver installation went smoothly. For the adaptation of the ECO Mode by a driver current driver version is required under Windows (the PCL6 Universal driver 08/2014 does not contain this option, just not the Windows own driver!). With the ECO Preview it is possible to see a preview before printing, delete unneeded pages to sketches to convert bitmaps, etc. - highly recommended! (On CD supplied driver to install rare because they are usually already out of date, as the experience with many devices - for less experienced users, the insertion of the CD but certainly the easiest way and okay as long as the ECO Preview is.)
To the device itself:
It is almost square (which is currently visible only in the tenth picture). The paper drawer is not completely closed, but is set to A4 at the rear of the unit by approximately 4-5cm out (about the same distance as the IEC connector - see my answer to a product question). There is a flap on the bypass tray at the front. A standard toner MLT-116S for about 1200 pages Included is (there is also the 116L for 3000 pages to buy). Start a toner I would not be tolerated in this price range.
For printing:
The driver also installs a status monitor that provides information on the successful expression or possible faults.
Printing is very fast, and while this can be heard clearly even the printer. Shortly afterwards he slumbers again inaudible under his breath. Duplex printing works fine, it can be if necessary probably offset values set. At the printed image I have absolutely nothing to complain about.
Networking capabilities:
The printer can be via LAN or WLAN integrated into the home network, and provides a web interface on which to monitor toner levels etc.. In addition, device settings, and the various network services can be configured, which allow the identification of the printer driver or by the terminal (including SNMP v1 / 2 / 3c, AirPrint, Cloud Print) and its use. So far, everything works really easily (you should here but not too much off)!
Printing from Android:
The app lets you print from applications (by dividing) or by selecting a document, such as PDF, from memory card or Dropbox / OneDrive / Box / Evernote / Facebook or an integrated browser - all inclusive Preview function. This works even without NFC.
For larger units (eg M2885FW) are also in addition to the app scan and fax.
At NFC:
In itself not a reason to buy (unless you have other people constantly visiting who want to print with the smartphone slightly), but a nice gimmick. When placing an Android device, the Google Play store will be opened to install the Samsung Mobile Print App. Just as easily by NFC controlled a direct wireless connection between the device and printer are set up. (For me, currently irrelevant because anyway connected via LAN and therefore accessible via the WLAN Router.) If you do not want to NFC-controlled from mobile devices to print the whole thing by turning off Wi-Fi Direct can be deactivated.
Conclusion: All in all a very well thought-out device with very good price / performance ratio, which I would definitely recommend (even after now> 5 months use).
I hope I could possibly answer with this review of questions that could be answered not by the manufacturer or product description here, and I am glad if the recession is seen as useful.
