The sizes offered vary by manufacturer. Who has the usual suspects tried once in the store, has certainly established that there are serious differences of the fit. I was lucky enough to get time measured in a sporting goods store the bulb: 58. This one is in a M, the other L - all great! What is important to me in a helmet, no matter whether for street or in a sport that he sits clever. Not only suits, but also sitting. That is why it must go like compact, so rather fitting than 2 finger widths between air. So nothing wobbles. Can adjust or fine tune it then with the chin strap and the wheel at the neck.
Now I have just returned in January-skiing with moderate negative values and can report the following:
- The helmet is - as in the dry run hopes - perfectly. Nothing is loose or pressed. In addition, this is a helmet that finally not so "on top" is sitting, but discreetly packs around the head. Do some Helmet / skiers combinations always think of this cat with lime helmet that rumging the net times: D
- You can ventilate the helmet though, but those like me who lives skiing as a winter sport and not as Hüttengaudi which will quickly realize that it can be quite warm to the marble. Especially the earbuds fall on there.
- Keyword earpads: I have under any helmet as bad as under this part. Perhaps at that point to more closely fit on the ear?
- Ergonomics faultless: dial chinstrap adjustment and -use all the best. How to last the Goggles-holder (rubber without pushbutton), time will tell.
- Keyword Schneebrille: That was the only addition to the bad acoustics, what I would describe as not optimal. My Alpina Quattroflex Turbo GT fits more moderate on this helmet (in 55-59cm). When placing the helmet must be something up / back are pushed, and even then it expresses something on your nose and feels as if it would not be intended. My comparison of fitting was a Alpina Grap - on the fit the spectacle Alpina felt even worse. But since I do not always go in the sun with snow goggles, the problem keeps it in check.
Bottom line: I would probably buy again, were it not for the appalling well-made helmets of discounters. A direct comparison with this year Tchibo helmet for half the price ..... my dear Scholli because I almost annoyed me! It remains an almost exclusively as the hope that such an expensive helmet protects even better. When it comes to fit and finish there at the Billigheimern any case very little to complain about.
