So I had a Sony HX me spontaneously bought 50 to allow the holidays to document photographically. She was now in a 4-week holiday in Spain use and makes surprisingly good pictures, for such a small clippers. Even when utilizing the 30 times zoom is still something sensible out at. But what is not at all is the lack of a viewfinder. When there often prevailing sunshine photographing is to gamble. So still needed a further camera namely a compact with the viewfinder. As much as possible they should also have zoom.
Many tests have been read, studied many reviews. At the end are left:
Olympus Stylus 1
Nikon 7800
Canon G 16
Sony RX 10
This I have looked at and tried in the relevant markets.
The Nikon has resigned because of your ridiculous, poor viewfinder, which can not even be a temporary solution. Likewise, the Canon. The Sony is actually been my favorite, albeit quite expensive. But it satisfies the criterion of compactness will be very difficult. She's been a pretty decent chunk, albeit a very good one.
So I have approached me the Stylus and bought it. After extensive Try is clear now that I'm keeping.
She's so compact that it can be worn in a fanny pack and I finally did so hands free. No longer stroll with large pocket and Gerödel. The viewfinder is fully in order and well-usable. So you can now also in sunshine right pictures. The operator does not strike me as consistently as in the previous cameras but is still easy to learn. The first well 500 images a satisfactory image quality when it shows the differences from the EOS 650. But I just do not want a big camera more drag. The continuous 2.8 Aperture gives some latitude in exposure, and cropping is quite possible at the right distance to the subject. Class is the Onjektivdeckel, the in and out automatically moves. While looking in the extended state of a bit weird, but is very handy.
Not so great is the missing HDR, which I have often used the Canon. In addition, they could be more wide-angle tolerated. The cover for the battery compartment is not as stable as you would expect in this price range. The remaining processing is however in order, you have a valent part in hand.
A small drawback is the minimum distance to be maintained in macros for me. Others can do little better cameras.
But the sum of the requirements: compactness, good viewfinder and zoom there no other comparable camera. I am happy.
