Opposite the McDavid 433 offer all newly selected bandages greater supporting effect. They are, however, but also more robust and wear the shoes longer. Possibly in an accident also increases the risk of relocation of injury from the ankle to the knee. But this I can not make a sound statement. My fear is figuratively speaking, that if I fix a place of my dyke strong, the water may be the next weak spot looking to break through.
Review in words:
=============================
1) McDavid 189: The bandage 189 of McDavid is the premium model in my selection - it is the most expensive. It consists of two parts, a neoprene socks with two Velcro straps and a plastic shoe cover with a hinge and a Velcro closure. The principle seems at first glance clunky and inflexible but scores with very high wearing comfort and maximum stability. I was really pleasantly surprised. It is particularly surprising that the entry and exit very easy proceed. Only the neoprene socks above the normal stocking, which include two velcro fasteners, then finished in the plastic shoe covers, a final tab and. You can hardly do anything wrong and slides beautifully into the bandage. They fit perfectly with me and I feel very well supported at the same time but hardly hindered. The plastic cup is very ergonomically designed mainly in the heel and the sole area and fits great to walk. I have small, narrow feet (Gr. 40). Granted, the price is enormous. I will try to get back a part of my health insurance. But otherwise I give it 5/5 stars.
2) Miller Lite: The Müller Lite is similar to the model of McDavid (1). However, it is for my taste to a worse version. It consists of less plastic and no sub-trump. Under the foot runs a narrower plastic tape, which is shielded by a thin Neoprenpad against the foot in order to increase the wearing comfort. The upper part of the bandage consists of two side plates which are quite comfortable padded. A wide Velcro completes the whole. Unfortunately, there is the model only in a universal size. It may work for larger, wider feet, but to me it does not fit well. The side plates sit too high and protect the ankle by not so good. I sit much more unstable in the bandage as for example in the McDavid 189. The supporting action should not therefore be so great and the comfort is lower. In addition, the Neoprenpad not Like under the foot. It's back to wide and interfere when entering and exiting the boot. Since this rubs every time and bends it will not keep you safe long. Who the bandage fits much better than me, who will be perhaps happier, but for shoe size 40 that is nothing: 2/5 stars.
3) Mueller ATF: The Mueller ATF bandage is the only model with laces in my selection. It consists of a single piece. The entry and exit from the models designed my current selection the most difficult and time-consuming because you have to loosen the laces and loosen and then tighten again every time. In addition, the laces wearing plus the underlying tongue inside the shoe on quite strong. This decreases the wearing comfort. The model provides a fairly good, but not quite as stable support effect as the first two models. The support is achieved by a plurality of flexible support elements in the bandage. Due to the lower Stürtwirkung and the regular wear and landing comfort from me only 3/5 stars.
My test winner:
===================
My winner is therefore the McDavid 189. With her, in spite of the very high price, I would like to try my luck. She sits so comfortable that I einschätze as permanently sustainable. I hope that my fear of displacement possible injuries in accidents to the knee, does not occur. Furthermore, I hope that my checkout I might reimburse a portion of the purchase price of goodwill due to the prophylactic benefits.
