Installing Windows 8.1:
I have never made an installation on Windows faster. USB flash drive in, restart the PC and go. The necessary for the installation files are dug in under 10 minutes on the SSD. Disbelief I looked at the screen. The installation was indeed complete. Super! So I could reinstall my OS every day.
Work / spitting:
Windows starts slightly faster than the Force 3. In good seven seconds Windows 8 is logged. The start of a program can be carried out immediately. Battlefield 4 starts in about 1 minute in a multiplayer game. This had once before claimed 2 minutes. Programs generally start immediately. Even big programs like Photoshop and Premiere are there immediately. Perfect!
Materiality / processing:
Super really makes her something. One might think that the device would be intended for the external operation. The case has a sophisticated and high quality at a very low weight.
Speed:
Incredibly fast. It is frequently in the range of maximum speed as indicated or just under it. The Force 3 was here but a little more slowly, although this is to complain even in the Force 3 at a high level. Since I'm generally switched with everything (PC, laptop, HTPC) to SSDs, I find any work with standard plates almost unbearable. Everything is like gum. The switch to an SSD always actually makes sense, no matter what.
Conclusion:
The Samsung puts even an ordinary shovel on it. You can tell which was further developed in the meantime. The Samsung is noticeably faster than the old Force 3. Insbesonder EWhen large files (including Windows installation, processing of MP3 collections, large graphics) plays the Samsung this benefit. In normal Windows operation you would not necessarily notice.
Compared to normal 5400/7200 disks course goes from the Post. Even my RAID0 used for mass storage stinks because from tremendous. Maybe I'm going to try a RAID0 of two 840 EVO. Just out of interest! ;-)
