Ebene hair of (the) (Paperback)

Customer Review

A suite that holds the promise of the previous book (1). There has breath in this work
Carmen where the downward immigrant become a big beautiful little French teacher Iberian family
confronts an ever unenviable fate during the years of the last war.
Christine Navarro came into literature by producing pleasant, chronic mischievous and cheering whose themes
is fed to the sources of his childhood, here in another dimension with this saga-inspired apparently this time the story of his family.
Second volume of this cycle, "The ebony hair" followed in Carmen a demanding path that mark the death, fear, anguish, suffering,
through the perils of the ordinary and fierce racism, cowardice and various problems caused by the German occupation.
As a counterpoint to the courage, heroism with ease, determination, hope pegged to the soul,
the valor of the young girl and her family and love brought to light these pages a child whose fate is not depressed. On the contrary.
The love of a little Jewish Carmen save a disastrous fate.
This is a poignant story, engaging characters whose human have the stuff.
The social environment and historical conditions are also described with accuracy, precision and realism.
Note that you can quite approach this second album without necessarily having knowledge of the precedent,
but it is at risk of making the irresistible urge to get into reading "The range of ivory"
... And look forward to following the publication of which should probably not delay too.
One caveat, however: the choice of title whose flatness does not reflect the quality of the novel.
It also has nothing to do -or if can in this exciting book.
