Portnoy's departure frightened me but hey, they had the good sense not to replace it with a clone. Portnoy (drums) was a game based more setbacks and a sufficient technical level to place what he wanted or he wanted. Mangini has one more game based on speed, but it also has its technical background that allows it to be very interesting to acouter. So that DT is a very good group. Musically, the penultimate album (which I love) had a back taste of Neal Morse (which I also love) in the melodies, influence Portnoy brought after his years of work with Neal. This influence is gone with Portnoy and you end up with more than the last album DT DT with Portnoy. Few songs, as usual, but super nice to hear, in fact I've received in the mail much the day it came out and it still has not left the hi-fi.
