Continuous printing without changing cartridges

Here is my first experience after installing the L300 (L355 without a quasi scanner and WLAN), especially with photo printing:
First it is quite small (well) and more rickety (not particularly reassuring ... but that will not mean anything).
I just filled 25ml of each color to later try other inks that were totally enough to fill the hose system, then the ink level is approximately 1/4 (total seems as approx 100ml pure match) Now after about 30 photos standing in A5 (and a superfluous head cleaning) has dropped by a few meters.
The CISS makes constructive a very good impression, is just by the manufacturer.
The menu of the printer driver is quite spartan, but you can definitely influence the most important things: eg select different kinds of photo paper, quality or printing speed, and color and contrast, etc ..
Many of these photo settings result in quite bright colors ... 've tried yet no specific ICM profile ... from the direct dial seems "Adobe RGB / gamma 1.8" (instead of 2.2 - is the "mode color matching "to find) for trying out photo papers best (Aldi Sihl, TPI and Epson Premium Glossy).
Incidentally, there are unfortunately no borderless printing, presumably because Epson wants to sell for photo printing expensive models. But I miss not ... 9x15 is me anyway too small, I find photos only from 13x18 or A5 ever watchable, and with rand actually nicer than no .. with the L300 you can see the ink so carefree on larger formats spraying ( If the paper is low)

He soon is not: a photo 13x18 needs of the highest quality (set manually) 5min, a stage underneath ("strong") still 2:30 min and even a stage underneath ("standard") 1:15 min. In addition, even the lowest level "fast" there. In comparison to me the default level (1:15) the next higher (2:30) seems quite useful for photos, something finer (for I need already a magnifying glass), the highest and slowest brings me no visible improvement.
Office printing I've only with a PDF file attempts from 2 sides: as the L300 needs with good standard setting 45 sec, my Canon MP810 (= iP5300) in a similar setting 30sec, with better results for black text ... also more robust in a lower mechanics ...

For neutral black and white photos Having no color cast, you can try "black only": setting on plain paper (although you have photo paper in it) and grayscale, then the highest possible quality choose: the photo is from the near viewing somewhat "grainy", but really black because only printed with the black ink (compared with setting on photo paper: finer resolution but almost always with a slight color cast because all colors are mixed).

Conclusion: Although the little L300 is quite a clunker compared to a Canon PIXMA from solid construction, but does with his "Ecotank" quite fun ... print almost nothing without refill tinkering!

The purchase price of the new ITS-Epson printers (L300 L800 L1800 etc): a surcharge of 100 for the hose system I find acceptable, especially when so much is ink thereby. Because the ink is no longer deserves .. 50-printers in the device's purchase price is subsidized through the ink sale .. and a ridiculous 4ml cartridges costs about 10, just annoying.
However, if the surcharge rises above 150, you should consider to order in Poland.
A L800 (= P50 with ITS) currently costs at amazon 380, in Poland at the 280 ...
The L300 should be had for about 150 (that was the price I ordered through Amazon as I)
