Beautiful I found that love does play a role, but this does not drift into kitsch. The eroticism is used by the author sparingly, otherwise it would perhaps take the voltage from the additional volumes. ;-) For the thrifty used erotic scenes, however, compensates for the last scene of the novel, a really special love scene. Does not everything is possible by magic ...
The world was wonderfully prepared by the author, so that one sinks completely into her. It also helps the attached map at the beginning of the tape the Fading Lands, Celieria, of Eld and Elvia, the latter did not play any role in this part.
Very helpful, I found the rest of the glossary at the end of the book, which triggered by the often used "foreign" concepts confusion would solve something. Unfortunately, repeatedly missing terms in the glossary, so that the reader is left somewhat in the dark. Partial expressions are explained later or in other books, but fortunately also expanding the glossary.
Conclusion:
An impressive start to what will hopefully be equally impressive series. "High Fantasy meets Romantic Fantasy", a perfect blend! Now you can only pray that the author keeps this up, it has begun in this first part. The second volume starts at least exactly where the first has ceased.
Rating: 5 of 5 stars
Note: Under the title appeared "The Curse of the Elven King" in German.
