The album starts with two highlights: "Why cant we" and "Be My Man" are absolute hits that will not make it into the German charts and radios. "Preacher Man" is almost anthemic like created, "Dreamer Girl" begins totally dreamy, the Bridge is sensational melancholic and yet provides the perfect transition for a completely liberated chorus that oozes lightness just so. The woman can just write great songs. Bilingualism in their music is actually something that makes them special. But just the songs that are not continuous English sung, fall in sound but from over the rest. Nevertheless ASA slips never in African sound clichés from, but uses the origin for idiosyncratic interpretations. Art is always here before commercialism!
Actually, it's almost outrageous to only awarded four stars, too well, most arrangements. Nevertheless, the work with the predecessor, must be measured and as it is in just a few points now times weaker. For Soul fans it remains an absolute duty plate that may be missing in the own collection under any circumstances.
