To all my manipulations, I was using the software SoftPlug (LEA) for a dashboard and control (what a pity that does not deliver its NetGear PLC with the equivalent! The CD comes with "empty" and useless). I had read on the right or left it was unwise to make upgrading Freeplugs. I saw the option in SoftPlug but dared not do so (not sure of the consequences). After 2 days I have dared! Although I took: Netgear Powerline plugs recognized almost instantly! And without even bothering to unplug the others.
Gentlemen CPL manufacturers at when compatible hardware (one branch is recognized, it works)? When will well explained procedures? Like the WiFi networks, for example ... The PLC technology dates still fifteen years. I may be lucky. But if I had been a little grandpa? Or a user a little refractory to computers? Shake you, dammit!
To return to the subject of this opinion, even happy when the two Powerline Netgear. Working well. Slight tendency to warm up. Cheap.
NB: there is the equivalent of SoftPlug (LEA) for Netgear (Netgear Powerline Utility) but we must go and look at the site Netgear while a CD comes with: would not it have been easier to put top (far from full when the apps that are above are of very questionable value ...)?
