After setting once an OTA update to Android 4.3, and a firmware update was carried out (very laudable!). Whether it is because I can not say, but I have anyway no problems with the dock. Compared to its predecessor (the 700), the screen is indeed better again, but that would be for me no reason to buy, there really is concluded with the resolution improvement that I can perceive. I have a Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013 (each with KitKat) and do not see any difference. The Tegra 4 with 2 gig memory justifies the purchase, because the velocity jump compared to the 700 (and that was comparatively not bad) is clearly noticeable. Again, I see a tie with the Snapdragon S4 Pro 800 and Qualcomm in normal use. The full-fledged (!) USB 3 connector in the dock can also be to the LAN adapter of 700 use (good), the charging cable is proprietary and again narrower than the 700 (crap). Ie firstly, charging cable and USB adapter for the pad can not be used from 700 to another, there is no spare cable. The dock is now actually completely made of plastic, but this is in my opinion not a disadvantage. The connection to the pad as a whole is stable and the keyboard incl. The pad control character pleasant to use. The intervention in the Asus Android is greater than the 700, but not badly done (eg the floating widgets). Now if you could come KitKat medium, I am completely satisfied. DH in relation to the 700 reduced price a strong buy recommendation. Supplement 28.12.13 Yesterday came a OTA update of ASUS and after instalation it went into an infinite loop. No Panic !! There seems to be a general problem. Preliminary aid (s): To switch off: Press and hold! Boot Manager: Volume down + off Select Wipe down with volume and confirm with high volume It then proceeds to delivery, Android 4.2.2 again high, but all data is gone! The Asus server does not respond at the time, but will probably be a new update soon. I'm still happy. Supplement 12.30.13:
On ASUS support can the firmware manually bring back to 4.3, notes on Android-help.
In order also hears the bucking what was yet felt under 4.2.2, again and everything is beautiful.
