Just "nice". So you could call it the debut of Depeche Mode by Vince Clarke. More unfortunately not. The singles "New Life", "I Just Can not Get Enough" or "Dreaming of me" remain a somber touch, who knows how to inspire right the 1st listening stick. "Any second now" has. The rest is average. Variety is not felt. But this album is a pioneer in the electronic sector. Similar to OMD something new has been created which unfortunately somewhat lacking variation. Depeche Mode has matured into a legend, what is meant exactly. Every beginning is difficult. In hindsight, you have to be happy that Vince Clarke left the band, otherwise posterity would be 2 great bands were withheld or Depeche Mode had not evolved significantly. "Yazoo" and "Erasure". Depeche Mode would have failed in the occupation. Thank you Mr. Clarke.
