D300 with battery grip - a perfect combination

The Battery Pack MB-D10 is a very useful addition to D300 camera. This applies especially to the significantly improved ergonomics when holding the camera because the hand can much better supported on the side.
When using a flash and / or a heavy lens hand tired much slower. Of course, the Gesamtgwewicht is slightly higher, but that bothers me very little (and trains the biceps :-)). My wife is the camera MB-D10, however, much too heavy. Even with (not too thick) gloves is the gain in ergonomics clearly remember, as you hold the system much more secure in the hand.

Vertical shots using the existing controls on the handle (AF-On button, shutter button, 2 dials) are a pleasure. The quality of the handle is actually quite excellent and is not in accordance with the high quality of the D300 / D700.

I operate the MB-D10 with an additional EN-EL3e battery, alternatively you can also 8AA batteries (recommended: Eneloop) in the recording supplied as an accessory use and then an encore even higher burst speed (7.5-8 fps ). But then the handle is also more difficult, which is why I use the AA battery only as a backup. What I like very well, the possibility of battery grip battery to remove (to load it) and the MB-D10 is weiterzubetreiben on the camera battery.

Choosing the right battery order (menu d11) and correct assignment of the AF-ON button on MB-D10 (menu A10).

Conclusion:
For the current price of the MB-D10 is highly recommended and you get a tural value. I am glad that I bought it did.
