This excellent fantasy trilogy is a perfect introduction to the novels of Dave Duncan, a great author underrated considering the quality of his work (everything is, well drawn characters, adventures, beautiful sword fights, and told with a beautiful exotic balance / emotion / share but still a welcome Anglo-Saxon humor (original author is Canadian Scottish). To convince you, try to look at the average of the notes and reader comments on the US Amazon site. The Seventh Sword is his first book written but if you prefer more recent novels, try the series "King of Blades". Very prolific, he released next month's 50th novel then that he started quite late after a career dingénieur (jaimerai George RR Martin can display a rate of only half!). Jajoute that this is not really full because a final volume was added the year last in English (French warned the editor by me sest not yet manifested). Namely that he also wrote some SF. My favorite author for holiday reading
