In principle, the Intenso is a good quality and USB drive from the building. For me, however, occurred after about 14 months on the sporadic cancellations of USB disk. This error is described here in a few threads. I had then built-up in my hard drive Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM001 with firmware CC4B in the cause is suspected to be (see this other reviews). So hastily expanded, firmware performed CC4H update (to the plate must be necessarily attached to the PC), re-installed in the USB enclosure, Repartitioned Paragon Partition Master, FAT 32 formartiert ... and the plate was still the same mistake, Logout sporadic and error messages when recording. On the other USB 3.0 port and another USB 3.0 cable also brought no relief.
The hard drive test with the Seagate SeaTools ran all errors, even the short test. Only the self-test of the hard drive yielded a consistent result. Hmm .. Removed hard disk back to Windows reinitialized (GPT), partitioned and complete (important!, Overnight) formartiert 7 with NTFS. CHKDSK control, as well as the SeaTools tests carried out and ... everything properly. The plate tinkers again as a backup drive, but right in the PC.
Conclusion: huge expense to the USB controller to identify the cause. This should not happen in fact, the cause is not justifiable, since the phenomenon occurred very quickly. Since the drive is used per se as a pure backup drive, fortunately not tragic.
