Housing / base processing:
+ Good workmanship
+ Is very stable
The actual display case looks from behind due to the many grid in Case quite transparent, and perhaps reveals a little too much inside of a Design Award win. So is not suitable for umbedingt my personal opinion for home and work-combi rooms.
Equipment:
+ Clearly the many connection options are awesome!
Menu navigation:
Without awarding plus and minus points. It is sufficient to set what is adjustable. This is enabled by default and very annoying gepipse the buttons can be easily Unignore. It is OK!
Response times:
The 7ms in the product description is based on the color change from gray-to-gray. In the reaction time and the input lag plays for me as an occasional gambler but a role. I expected no records in the display size for easy simulation and strategy games which is also less of an issue but (without including the latency of online games) when extrapolated just 24ms response time suffers the fun factor in games where it quick precise hand-eye Coordination matters considerably. I daresay you can time shift even track the movement of his mouse on the screen. But at the right work, it is sufficient but not really disturbing nonetheless.
Colours:
- Despite some color profiles that were available for selection for me personally only the sRGB profile to use it. (Well, what else!)
- Colors may indeed been calibrated as naturally as possible in the factory to be but the problem is simply a lack of almost all other corners - color intensity - brightness - contrast. Even ordinary and cheaper office displays from BenQ, Samsung and LG satisfy more.
Abnormalities:
In the office I use TN and IPS panels so thought before me that the crystalline effect of U3011 IPS panel will hold already in limits after I already got to work with a variety monitors over the years. Something something like the crystalline effect on this monitor but I have not previously experienced.
I mentioned that I wanted to bring the monitor versatile for use and I started with Surfing the web, programming, and IT. Maybe I'm just too sensitive but that the work was not possible for me. Me personally pained by the sight of dark text on a light background. All lighter colors bring the crystalline effect to advantage. All acquaintances who had the opportunity to look at the monitor, made similar statements. So I do not prick with my sensitivity but probably out from the crowd.
- Crystalline effect at jedlicher form of word processing.
Next, I loaded some high-resolution images in the image processing. Unfortunately I had to my horror and this notice that the crystalline effect the picture with bright images also interferes heavily. Color pixels look simple multicolored. I had really capture the actual problems with shades on the screen "lifelike" to.
Be Kristalliener effect so greatly distorted the image colors -
Then I took out a couple of movies. Unless you have a player with which you can interpolate the frames per second movies on 50-60 act some movies but quite choppy in the nature of 60Hz screens. Here the crystalline effect is not noticeable. At least I focus during movie watching less certain and smaller regions of the screen. If the monitor would still have had a juicy theater profile with some brighter colors, more contrast and saturation, then you would almost can come joy;)
- Colors disappoint with movies / videos
Recently I went to a couple of games. Querbet one after another tried. Here the crystalline effect falls only very slightly on because most games on average have only a few static elements. The 60Hz are too little for hardcore gamers. But actively Vertical Sync can be played quite decently on 60 heart. The response times are even more cumbersome and reduce the range of games on rather slower, more leisurely title. Therefore less suited to gamers. For first-person shooters definitely a no go! (No minus point because I wanted to have the monitor primarily for other activities. Can play games is not a KO criterion was!)
What has played in product review here definitely does not matter is the fact that the monitor in the delivery (came directly from Dell) already had a pixel errors.
Conclusion:
I honestly do not know who the monitor would be really useful. For EDVler, graphic designers and gamers no reason to rejoice. If it's all about film / video editing there's many other displays that are better suited. And I can in good conscience the crystalline effect which gave me headaches literally after half an hour, just do not let the outside before. On the contrary, I have again to stress it!
