There are departures for the following reasons:
1. The chain can also be opened from the inside without a key. This contradicts the product description. I've bought exactly why the chain, for the others but will be an exclusion criterion for sure. Presumably, you can see the chain also as mount that you can not simply depend on the inside - but then it would no longer be possible to unlock from outside.
2. There are no instructions.
The installation is very simple, but for me one of each product a brief description - especially with a brand-name product. Everything else is a lack of respect for the customer.
Here you could then mention the following:
- Exploded View
- The lock must be disassembled for installation, by loosening the Phillips screw with lock open.
- The black plastic part serves as a support for the chain must be inserted into the lock.
- The lock should be mounted above the doorknob. Otherwise the chain depends start by. If a jack is also outside you can then, if necessary, by repeatedly pressing "shake" the chain of the latch.
- Use of different screws / plugs - would probably be helpful for not so technically gifted customer.
- Indication of distance from the wall - halt drills have a certain width.
3. Packing
Some parts are halfway wrapped into the package. Specifically, the key I had to cut out. It's annoying and easily can be solved better certainly.
Despite the deductions I would buy the chain at any time.
Addendum:
The anchor I found something eh "mickerig". The first test of the durability of the entire accidental holder is taken out of the wall (concrete). So rather greater brand anchors and a little longer to buy screws. The enclosed mounting material is scrap.
