WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 (Video Game)

Customer Review

WWE SD vs. Raw 2011

The Smackdown vs.RAW series get for some time now the wrestling fans every year set anew a most promising video games offshoot to his nose. WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is the newest part of said series. Now in this article I want Vornehemen uncover a longer analysis of this game to the strengths but also the weaknesses of the game. I focus on superstars and arenas, graphics, sound, gameplay, and the creative part.

Superstars and arenas:
On the number and variety of WWE arenas in this game, you can not complain. All arenas last season are represented and also a few more, such as the ECW. Can not complain about the number of WWE Superstars themselves. While there are too many the grief that this or that wrestler is not represented or missing this or that arena, yet we must not forget the following. The WWE is you get presented a new superstars a quick business feel every week. It come and go so many that the developers eventually no longer can come up with, after all the game needs sometime even once on the market. The desires are some times a bit too high in this regard. Positive you can say, however, that now new DLCs were announced which can be used to expand its roster. If the NXT Arena come as well as certain members of the Nexus.
All in all, I find nothing to complain about at this point, so this
Part 5 of 5 stars.

Graphics:
At first glance, the graphics look just fine, the Stages of the arenas look great, the rings are in order and also the menu is optical very successful. But somehow you get the feeling that the rest was somehow developed not quite finished. The superstars look good in parts but in some cases poorly. Especially with the new characters one has the impression that has been given to a lot of effort is not really in their animation. It is however even worse when you compare this with the audience. The audience is just ugly and no longer animates contemporary. Even the animation of some wrestling moves affects temporarily not quite liquid. There are actions which look unreal. Worst of all, however, the graphics and animation at the finishing move sequences. The graphics look blurry and the animation looks as if the developers would have done anything for the first time. One would do well to the camera cuts option to 'off' switch. It's easy to cry because of all these animations predecessors had never been defaced as such. The animation of the self-made finishing moves is for most actions, as always, made unclean and bad. In the end, the graphics are okay, but the animation of some moves and superstars has become easy underground inexplicably.
Thus, only 2 out of 5 stars.

Sound:
As with the predecessor is the soundtrack of the game from theme songs of wrestlers and a few rock songs. About musical tastes can discuss long, which is why I also skip this part. The soundscape ending the match is fine, the comments temporarily appear quite stupid. Yet there is also the sound a negative point. While one could change the title on the former, this is no longer possible at once. It is delivered to the music at the mercy. This then leads mostly to the fact that at some point on the television to mute when you have to do more in the menu, as in the creation of your own wrestler. One can now no longer be individually determined according to the lot or the Einmarsch- Menumusik to be special only adjust how loud the music in general should be. If one the music is set to zero, so you can hear not only the menu but also the invasion no more music. Although this heading is rather unimportant from a certain date but for some, this including myself, extremely annoying.
Therefore, only 4 out of 5

Gameplay:
The control was this time a little change in this part. If nothing has been done better but only slightly more complicated in my eyes. While one used to pick up his opponent with the circle button is now pinning him with it. For those who have become accustomed from the predecessors to this point, to have to change once, what, we, not just pushes me to enthusiasm. Can .MAN Even with the actions in the corners, there have been changes in his opponent now depend also head over to the corner and out of this situation you can then dish out 3 handles and almost the same number of strokes. In contrast, now has only the possibility a
Perform Superplexvariante and then only if his opponent has bet on the corner. For only three innovations in this field has changed the same complete control and additional restrictions on the choice of the player. The next change can be found in the state handles While you could use earlier ansatzlos Fast handles and chain handles Quick handles have been abolished. Now you can, if the opponent was injured, edit it with 4 strong approach loose handles. The problem is, the enemy is always in this mode when you pick up battered him from the ground, which is probably very often be the case with the majority. Thus, you fight to majority only with these 4 state handles. To Mathes not so monotonous to gestallt one must therefore now think of something. One can now not always fight like you just want to. Otherwise, control is no trouble. The Road to Wrestler Mania stories are varied and entertaining, for one, more less for the other. Otherwise (and need) to unlock a lot of things in order to use them can. There she is, one turns via the PSN Store all free at once. Only then can the game motivation in my opinion strongly after. There is to say that the control changes were completely unnecessary Finally. Nevertheless, to cope more or less, why I this part
Give '4 of 5 stars.

Creative Part:
The creative part of this game is relatively high. One can be created his own wrestler, create their own moves, its own invasions and even his own finisher. These parts have a lot of free space for your own ideas.
Creating your own custom finisher is simple, but the animation of these actions are usually quite an accident, but all in all these parts have continued to perform well, which is why there has not been much to bitch slap. Furthermore, there is the new world WWE mode. Here you can fix matches and start feuds, and lead them then. This mode provides a lot of opportunities, but also holds some frustrating moments ready. To start 50% of the fighting so that a wrestler attacked the other before the match and therefore always gets a match-winning advantage. Other wrestlers mingle with fighting in World mode lasts a with. At the end, it is similar, sometimes you get even an enemy before you set or is attacked by some, rather than that you can celebrate his victory. But you can turn this mode even if it is to a non-ferrous. World mode is a very interesting new feature but it works in many ways somehow not quite finished. So you can indeed fix matches and feuds, but to move a vote or any other instrument the player to continue playing there is not. If no own motivation is gone, the game can also provide a no really new motivation, which since Wegfal the GM mode also in almost all parts but without him the case. Nevertheless, I forgive for that part good 4 of 5 stars

Conclusion:
SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is good game. The game has up to the graphics only minor flaws. These small shortcomings are to be absorbed. It is up to the players themselves if they bother him or not. Nevertheless, something went wrong with the graphics and animation. The game looks, literally, in some places not good. Otherwise, the game is a typical offshoot of SmackDown vs.RAW 'series with all its good and less good sides

Finally, however, the game has certainly earned its 4 stars.

I thank all those who have taken the time to read my first review of its kind. I hope I could help you and give you a more detailed impression of this game.
