I enjoy staying again and again and again ...

Sometime between the perfect for me to get used to the Hot Fuss and Day & Age, the 4 guys from Las Vegas have created an album that does not fire as fast as its predecessor, but is well above the qualitätiv successor. Sam's Town was for many worlds better than Hot Fuss, for others the failed attempt, "different" sounding. The truth lies somewhere in the middle for me. Hot Fuss reached an immediately that earwigs present here on a silver platter and can listen over and over without losing its class. So Sam's Town can not come up for me, but makes the drive worse? I do not find. Some songs (When you were young, Read My Mind, Sam's Town) ignite already at first, other songs require their time before they reveal a total. And that makes listening to this album far more exciting than the debut album. With more guitar, male choirs, bombastic arrangements and partly equivocal vocal performances this album is certainly not for everyone, and also not easy to digest, but a recommendable listening experience, the more you hear it, the better it gets.

"Sam's Town" - whether in the album version or in the Abbey Road version later published - the song is gorgeous! The increased use of the guitar I like in this song especially gives him the necessary spice, only towards the end carrying the boys then but too thick to. 7/10

"Enterlude" - what a nice welcome, piano and sugary vocals.

"When you were young" - the first single is one of the catchy tunes on this album, a perfect combination of rock and magnificent kitsch ;-) 9/10

"Bling" - that's one of the songs that I liked only after some time, the chorus is beautiful and no longer leaves a lot if he has since achieved a first 9/10

"For Reasons Unknown" - I must confess, I initially want to hear this song hardly, here me singing of Flowers for the first time was really contrary. However, the "audible" passages have convinced the end and therefore remains a touching song about. And if I pay attention to the text, I have to say - already ok that Flowers is singing to his neck here. 8/10

"Read My Mind" - this song is for me clear the "pop" trend that has some but then very shocked on Day & Age. This song would have found there also good place, he is a flawless feel-good pop song. 7/10

"Uncle Jonny" - Firecracker on this album, perhaps the most brilliant song that the boys have ever recorded (and possibly ever will record)! The monotonous guitar riff can no longer be a going on from the beginning, to Flowers spits unusually cheeky into the microphone. Maybe they're doing me the favor someday, remember this song and socialize there. INGENIOUS !!! 10/10

"Bones" - what for a crazy song! The first 20 seconds allow the hand to skip button migrate, but then? Then you hear a super entertaining pop song, glorious trumpets and choruses in the background. In addition, this song is an example of how the guys still boost their song to the end bit and still pack an a bit more. Loud, ostentatious, over about it - some say for sure, that would be too much, but just Bones rolled me with his hammer-moderately excessive end repeatedly down. A song that you have to listen to an end !!! 10/10

"My List" - start slowly and quietly, but increases with the use of guitars and polyphonic singing to a nice number. Not outstanding. 6/10

"This River Is Wild" - it's a long, long way down .... oh how glorious! Kitsch without end, always something new to discover at every stage. This song stands out for me through his varied arrangements and the incredibly strong vocals. Here more than just thick is applied, incompatible for some, but I was with this number Flowers wrapped around her finger! 10/10

"Why do I keep ..." - A song about fear of flying - like written for me! * G * Otherwise, nothing special, the chorus is nice, no question, but not a hit. 6/10

"Exitlude" - at the end again the delicate vocals Flowers and then an impressive chorus which said goodbye. Yes, I enjoyed my stay and come back safely!

Those who accuse the album to contain good songs, no hits, it has too rarely heard. How often enough by many mentioned, most of the songs take their time, a then not let go.
Those who accuse the album to want too much, kitsch and glamor and rock and opera singing and momentum and force - right! But I like this mix! For discreet Entertainment The Killers are not anyway, so why do not overdo it so so that it is fun again? And I love this album just fun !!!
