Hello There,

I have a new 27 "monitor WQHD searched in the past 2 weeks to 550 and share my experiences here like.

First, I have informed me extensively in various German, American and even Asian (thanks to Google Translator) technology communities and professional sides. Here my requirements are clearly defined, with each individual point as "AND link" means:

1) multi-input, because PC and Mac alternate and replugging is not an option
2) Neutral image, at best, 100% sRGB color gamut (Photoshop and web design).
3) low input lag, at best, 12ms (this is a value that I can live)
4) IPS, Ahva or PLS panel, no TN
5) As low Clouding
6) PWM or flicker

My models were tested in addition to the ASUS PB278QR (460) a BenQ GW2765HT (330) and an LG 27MB85R (540).
Here I would like to briefly say something about each. And I am guided by my above specifications. Points as construction, shipping, standard accessories (I own) and look for me do not matter. I rated purely performance monitors. As a reference to me serves the Apple Cinema Display (27 "WQHD).

I) BenQ GW2765HT
---------------------------
+ Neutral picture, sRGB color space coverage
+ Sufficiently calibrated at the factory
+ Budget
+ Processing acts wertig
+ No dead pixels
+ Read mode with low blue light
- Extreme input lag of an average of about 32ms, both via HDMI as well as DVI-DL! That the mouse easily follow suit, also my wife has noticed immediately. To play unsuitable for me.
- Strong "yellow" Clouding

Interim conclusion: the monitor is mainly due to the extremely high input lag completely inappropriate for me - he therefore went back on the same day.

II) LG 27MB85R
----------------------
This monitor has been awarded in a forum as "the" Monitor for low input lag values and a good picture. This opinion I am not.

+ Extensive setting options in the OSD
+ Processing acts wertig
+ Had the least Clouding of my models tested
+ No dead pixels
- Expensive, poor availability
- Factory calibration a bit too reddish and too sharp. I had to decrease the sharpness only by 60%.
- OSD Touch buttons speak when touched directly, are not visible and therefore getting used to
- Relatively high input lag of about 20ms, to play unsuitable for me.

Interim conclusion: the monitor is due to the high input lag and decreased comparatively to expensive price.

III) ASUS PB278QR
----------------------------
The monitor is fairly new on the market, therefore is not much meaningful feedback.

+ Sensational 6ms Input Lag. That should be a reference in the field of 27 "WQHD IPS / AVMA / PLS panels. Thus the well currently best gaming monitor outside the TN panels.
+ Relatively little Clouding. For fans darker movies in a dark room and enthusiasts probably still a bit too much. For me, however, a relatively good value.
+ A Factory fairly balanced picture in the standard mode.
- Unfortunately, no settings in the OSD. The user mode provides inexplicably for washed-out colors and a much lower brightness. So I had only slightly adjust the me in almost very good standard mode bit too shallow calibration using calibration software (own ICC profile). And I've actually only the gamma value minimally reduced.
- 3 Defective, permanently white pixels. However, only 1 of them really visible and that too only in a homogenous 100% black background, and utter darkness space. In practice, definitely not visible and thus not disturbing.
- Processing more than enough:
* The panel sits not absolutely symmetrical as part: by eye about 0.25mm too far left
Owed * Probably the Pivot function, the panel hangs in the original shape at a slight angle from left to right in descending order. Solution: Place a small piece of cardboard invisible right under the base.

Overall Conclusion: Ultimately, I have kept the ASUS PB278QR because he could convince myself especially with its neutral image and the extremely low input lag at a reasonable price. The small shortcomings are solved for me bearable or by workaround. But certainly va will be due to poor workmanship on a still unoptimized production, but this should be unnecessary in the next few months (hopefully).

Due to the relatively low price of 460 in my case, the monitor still provides it despite the negative points of 5 stars. But Here I want to mention specifically that I would have only given 4 stars, in the case of a significantly higher price.
