- Great Pictures
- New Chip
- Very high quality workmanship
- Improved wide angle and telephoto range
- Setting by rotary ring on the lens
What I do not like or less (compared to G 1X):
- The price seems to me covered for these features
- Can not use my entire accessories (lens hood, filter adapter, battery)
- The lack of opt. Seeker who makes necessary An additional investment of about 300 EUR (and again requires a new camera bag)
- Expensive battery with only modest capacity. For this class of camera a joke.
- No possibility of cheaper third-party batteries
- The variability of the G1X (or G16 etc.) is much better - only 2 directions is already little
- Is What I notice that I've never had a camera in which I accidentally veränderet settings: Inerster line exposure as well as recording mode, etc. - in no time which is adjusted. Running one must control. In the meantime, I'm still doing additional photos in automatic mode to avoid this problem. I am holding to the photographers who like to take settings such as ISO, white balance, exposure compensation. Automatic freaks of course have in this respect no problems. Here an additional rotary knob or a different location of the control buttons would make sense. As I said, I'm shooting with multiple cameras and I know this problem not at all otherwise. Exemplary in this way is for me still the Sony DSC-R1.
As I said, I would think today, not get but the predecessor G1X again, which also offers a great picture quality, is cheaper and me what accessories and features (screen, viewfinder) concerns a better alternative appears.
