Unfortunately, we are both quite disappointed by the model because the richness the pet store does not come even remotely to the restaurant or the detective-office approach. This is the current state of affairs. As the set came out a few years ago, it was certainly one of the most beautiful house sets. But if one takes into consideration that the pet store costs the same as the restaurant or office, then I would recommend to anyone: take one of the newer models.
By design, the model is reminiscent of the somewhat dusty Lego architecture. Of course, at some positive elements here and there noticed - like the painter, the small but fine bathroom, the spiral staircase or the windows - but unfortunately it hooked to other corners.
Examples: the stairs in the back area is just "executed claps" with three large four-stones.
The terrain holders (ie the stones that hold the railing) are kept in gray, although there clearly white blocks would fit better - I had an enormous Lego camp with corresponding stones, I would this also be replaced.
The interior is really almost non-existent. In the pet store is a small desk, a shelf and a couple of "cages". Also the living area of the house next door has not failed lush. Ground floor: bed, telephone, table and toilet. On the first floor is gemalert. In the attic there are two boxes. That's it. As I said, we still have the magnificent restaurant, as well as the office in mind for the same price.
We also found the roofs not very appealing. The design is quite simple. I'm not saying that the roof looks really bad, but a few more details would simply not hurt.
Also, I found it a pity that while a hatch exestiert to the basement area, but the basement itself installed completely and is therefore not removable.
Now of course one or the other might say: Images are available on the package and show the house. Even YouTube videos there is enough. Why it was then bought if one anyway exert criticism in hindsight, although it was known to what you're getting into? - It's simple: the stimulus to build a new model. And hope that the spark might skip it. What he finally did only partially.
Conclusion: If someone is just want to buy a model, be it for lack of space or the high purchase price, then you're better off with the restaurant as well as the office. The other two models are more complex and even have a lot more stones. The build time for this model was the lowest of all three models. Thus it is clear that the pet store is the worst model of our collection. The build-up of Lego models makes but still fun, even if the 150 Euro do in the event really hurt.
