At first I was of the simple acting device also enthusiastic: Qualitatively convincing playback of Blu Rays and DVDs and also the possibility of their own videos to play (eg MPG 2, MP4, Div X) and JPG images via USB hard disks and USB sticks.
After about 3 months, the (empty) tailboard of the player did not go on. After many trials she went but then suddenly I had the idea to always leave a DVD in it. This has worked well, because the flap was then repeatedly on a button.
Then, after a while, increasingly came to image distortions during playback via USB.
Then the device was hardly used again suddenly.
Now, since the middle of July 2014 nothing works! The player does not turn on. Whether one has tentatively between pulled the plug or not: total failure! Of course, I always checked the HDMI connection problems.
I'm guessing that this device has been (probably in China) assembled sloppily, or under bad working conditions and therefore will quickly become unusable gradually exaggerated. Anyway, I've never experienced such a rapid total failure of an electronic device.
About this Philips Blu Ray Player BDP 3300/12 itself (rightly) accumulate the disappointed negative reviews. Interestingly, the well delivered mostly after about one and a half years, when the number of copies of this device have become unusable.
I doubt that Philips with the current fiscal policy in the long term (if for the company at all a criterion still is) doing a favor to bring such fast failing electronics devices on the market. I was in any case had the experience with this device skeptical of the company.

Since Amazon for such equipment has yet guarantee within 2 years I have the offer for a free repair gladly accepted, especially as was the shipping to the repair shop with Amazon free return shipping label for me. The service center builder has completed the repair remarkably fast and successful (with renewal of motherboards and more) and now the device is working again as in the beginning.
Thanks Amazon !!! That's really generous; especially that I did not have to turn to Philips with the complaint.
Let's hope that this time the device longer working as it should.
