Rugged and unadorned, but which augurs a long life. A very effective heater and a set temperature very fast. The thermostat on the side actually allows temperature adjustment, although it often needs to be cranked. One may regret the absence of a built-in timer to the device, but it is in the category "gadget", and does not detract from the pleasure to use!
