I'm not quite finished with THIEF, so I stick with facts story first back. What has me first very impressed, was the Disarming atmosphere. The graphics are perhaps not the best, but fits wonderfully into the overall picture and created a coherent, active-looking environment. The plot diversity is indeed in parts limited, but adequate. The background music is another big selling point of the game and highlights the atmosphere again vigorously. The German synchronization is also managed. On the whole, I feel in the game somewhere between the history of Assassin's Creed and the creep aspect of Splinter Cell. Direct comparison to Bethesda Dishonored I would not draw as though that game was also very good, but also heavily caricatured and exaggerated, just somehow slanted ... THIEF is authentic and true over and maintains magnificently. Looking forward to weiterdaddeln. Small Update from 24/03/2014: after I played the game extensively, but there's some quirks and shortcomings that should know the buyer. Generally, these murky only partly the fun of atmospheric, bleak stealth adventure, which is why I do not want to change my vote and I will. 1. the storage system is the biggest drawback of the game. Although you can save at any time within a level, however, the checkpoint at the resumption of the game is invalid. Also, my console often major checkpoints, starting chapter sections or automatic stores choked when hiding in closets. Annoying especially because I thereby forfeited some of looted treasures and again had to start from scratch. 2. in the section in which one bothered infiltrated the residence of Baron me several times a graphics bug me look through walls and fall left. Although the stopped after reloading, but the fact that the storage points were invalid even partly, it was annoying a bit. 3. all missions are always built according to the same pattern. Although there always several ways but constantly repeated that gameplay. Motivating, however I felt that there was much to discover. 4. the puzzles deposits are few and far between, and pretty easy 5. the fights are not really hard but rather too much as that combat is not the bomb. Still, I find that one just because of the beautiful setting and the gloomy oppressive atmosphere THIEF one of the best representatives in terms of stealth. Macken have other games too, sometimes more, sometimes less.
