So far everything in the paint, but:
First reception attempts certify the part a fairly low sensitivity. But again, I must differ:
I run the stick on a Mac mini, under OSX and Windows7 32bit per BOOTCAMP.
Under OSX, I use the free program GQRX under WIN7 the highly acclaimed SDR # ...
With the included magnetic-telescopic antenna you get naturally hardly transmitter, the receiver still under OSX is so much better than in the Windows partition?
A change of the antenna under WIN brought nix, under OSX least a slight increase; It was an old scanner antenna without amplifier with three radial ...
All in all, I think, this stick is not among the most recommended for the SDR receiver.
Stutzig makes me so different sensitivity among the two operating systems?
By the way, the installation process of GQRX is simpler than the SDR # where you descend with an extra program must incorporate the "matching" Drivers ;-)
It may be that the suitability of a "SKY SCAN 1300" plus amplifier then leads to reasonable results; However, then the price difference between receiver and antenna then about 1:10.
As a nice gimmick for the FM band but always suitable, also a radio beacon with Morse code at 28.46 MHz was received and deciphered (by Extra program) ;-)
