Braun Oral-B, belonging to the parent company Proctor & Gamble, has not let me down. The Tri-Zone toothbrushes belonging for me to the best that there are excellent. Since I've been struggling with discoloration of the teeth by various food and beverages, so I get these stains with the Braun Oral-B Tri-Zone and the appropriate toothpaste, effectively under control.
The Braun Oral-B electric TriZone 7000 premium toothbrush (with Bluetooth & SmartGuide), black comes in this version quite complete at the customer.
It includes two tri-zone and two toothbrushes 'Interspace', the SmartGuide with holder for the bathroom or wherever you brush your teeth, a travel case incl. Bag and a charger. The latter is again, unfortunately, only 220V and 110V not suitable and therefore only 'conditionally travel capable'.
I also own the Braun Oral-B Electric TriZone 5500 premium toothbrush (with travel case and SmartGuide) and compare these times, because - at least for now - the price difference anyway is quite handsome.
I'll start with the comparison with the travel case. When traveling, it comes with me to the square and since the case of the 7000's already bigger than the one I call him 'sarcophagus', 5500. From her teeth, both not really take much and who reaches the timing of Smart Guides or not needed, can also draw on the 5000 or 5500 series.
The travel case 7000 is made of a different material than the clear plastic in 5500, may look fancy, but is larger and more difficult to clean than the relatively simple plastic housing.
In contrast to 5500 to me the engine of 7000 appears to be a little stronger, which is reflected in a slightly different engine noise noticeable, but it can also be a series dispersion or pure coincidence.
The biggest difference is probably in the Bluetooth connection to the smartphone. This does not work with devices that have installed a Bluetooth 4.0. On an older iPhone, with whom I had only tried, refused to App identical during the first start, the connection to the toothbrush, because no BT 4.0 hardware is installed. I find a little odd, why are the power saving features of BT 4.0 just needs it? I do not know and so of course older smartphones are excluded from using the app. Since I only have an Android device with BT 4.0, so I had to wait and finally arrived at 02:08 until early August. actually the update for Android.
So, app updated and tries to connect the toothbrush with my Samsung S5. Well, that was not quite so simple. The best options are apparently when the app is on the smartphone in pairing mode and you then simply takes the toothbrush from the charging station. That worked for me immediately. After this little cliff was overcome, so I could brush. Said and done, while I remembered also the very first bug or inconsistency on. Since I always use the intensive mode in which the cleaning time of 30 seconds per quadrant rises to 45 seconds, so the app does not do this with. Instead of increasing the total brushing time, the app remains at two minutes and will not switch to three.
What I found really nice is that excessive pressing is recorded but this is only a record of measured and indicated by the red lights on the toothbrush and visible warning.
Well, I think of such apps is not really a lot and is a very nice 'toy' and some may find this very useful. Well, I think that you can disable the use of 'Google Analytics' and the location disclosure. Otherwise, you get messages and displays the weather. As written, quite nice but not entirely bug-free. But certainly coming updates.
The whole is of course only for the tested by me version of Android.
The SmartGuide 5500 is not compatible with the way the 7000 BT toothbrush. I was only trying to have but can not connect. Since a new SmartGuide is, it is only for information.
Summary:
Packaging: ***** made pretty, relatively little plastic, easy to open
Scope of supply: **** fairly complete, only 220V charger, travel case relatively large
Processing: ***** very good
App: **** nice but bugs and abstention on the use
Value for money: *** currently very expensive in my opinion, is likely to fall soon, as with the other
Well, the difference in the pure function as a toothbrush, to the older Triumph toothbrushes is rather low. The toothbrush lights up green when a cleaning cycle is over, the cleaning programs are the same as in 5500, which currently costs only one third of 7000. Who can do without black color, the app is not required and is satisfied with the SmartGuide, and can do without an additional light signal for an end of the cleaning cycle, which does not need this toothbrush really. According to the Braun Oral-B model overview specifications of 5500 and 7000 are also the same.
Conclusion: **** stars
