The Krups EA8108 is not our first fully automatic, before we had different models of Krups, Siemens, Melitta, DeLonghi and Saeco in use, so that we have a little comparison. As well, the Krups makes in everyday life we have now tested. Here's our (video) report.
1. Design
Although the machine is largely made of plastic, it's a nice sight and never feels cheap. The design is a huge success for me. The black glossy plastic surfaces, however, are sensitive to dust and fingerprints. Well I also like the transparent Attica with the coffee beans.

2. functionality and everyday practicality
Unfortunately, the manufacturer has no manual attached (which is available online), but only an explanation of the LED indicators.
Coffee preparation on the setting of the control dial for the amount and push buttons for strong or normal coffee. In order to obtain the desired result in terms of taste and strength a little experiment necessary. For a strong espresso should focus not on using large volumes. Unfortunately the dial is quite difficult to read.
To prepare myself coffees of all kinds of frother for cappuccino is used. The blowing hot steam through in a cup or a jug with milk. The result is in my opinion satisfactory, but not good. For an occasional latte acceptable, but who wants to enjoy his cappuccino every day, is hereby not be happy.
The water tank located on the rear machine has quite a large capacity with 1.8L so that no permanent refill is necessary. A water filter can be integrated in the water tank and therefore descale the water at the same time, a test specimen is unfortunately not included. The idea of integrating a water filter directly into the water tank, we find basically super. So one has to make an additional device for filtering the water in the kitchen. A pity, however, that the water level will not be displayed anywhere.
The water tank is easy to read through transparent plastic, but is removed from the top, what you should consider when placing the device (leave 10cm upwards).

3. Cleaning
If the machine needs cleaning, it shall inform the display. The container for pulp and collecting water are easily accessible and easy to empty. Additionally a coffee drawer must be rinsed through the pulp container, else complains the machine.
The pomace is should be part of this machine as he, bone-dry, not soggy.
After preparation of a milk frother for cappuccino coffees must be cleaned manually. This is a bit cumbersome, and could especially those interfering with who want to quickly make the morning even a latte before work.

4. Taste
Well, over the can known to argue about. But overall, the machine makes a really good and hot coffee. Lattes with the creamer machine have us not so thrilled with an extra milk frother (about the Aeroccino) but they are also delicious.

Conclusion:
The machine is a visually appealing and nicely compact. Anyone who drinks a lot of milk coffees, is happy with this machine in my opinion only in combination with an additional to be acquired frother. But those who only occasionally enjoys a latte and prepares mainly black coffee, here gets a great device.
