The first impression looks solid:
The graphics are implemented in accordance with good for the Wii, there is no dropout or gross graphic bugs.
But since it also sets out already. Example of generated traffic:
The cars plunge in some cases only on very late, making evasion impossible. Joke here: The shadow of the car, however, to recognize at genaurem inspection beforehand.
The fact that the Wii is not exactly a muscleman, is clear. However, other titles showed that sharp edges in spite of non-existent anti-aliasing does not have to be.
Therefore, the graphics get 4/5 points
A major innovation to other NfS titles should be the dynamically generated traffic. However, it was noted that especially in the Highway Battle race particularly large obstacles (trucks, etc.) always appeared at almost the same place.
The AI should be improved. The usual opponents do not lack intelligence, then the normal race designed partly as quite challenging. However, the police continues to record, as far as the stupidity. So they shall not depart from obvious obstacles and also the maneuvers to stop the player run extremely unprofessional.
The huge fully navigable landscape looks at first glance like a game of "old times". The trees again consist of 2 textures were sent placed together. Arg disfigured shadows abound on the streets. Even the Wii should have done better! What is also reminiscent of old times, the fact that large parts of the routes are almost identical to NFS Most Wanted. This is very unpleasant, particularly because the great city was indeed specially announced.
***The Control***
A special chapter, when it comes to games for the Wii. Unfortunately not in this case. There are 3 options:
* Gamecube / Classic Controller:
It is gegben as on any console with A gas, slowed with B and the steering takes over the joystick. So nothing new, so everything can be controlled quite well.
* Wii Remote with Nunchuk:
Similarly, the GC controller control is directed here by joystick. Accelerate one does Allerding with B, nitro enabled to A. Initially some getting used to, but can also be incorporated control everything quite well.
* Wii Remote horizontally:
Allowed to drive here as in good Mario Kart style. Enter with 2 gas and Wii Remote tend to steer. Partial comes a bit spongy but the control here before, all in all, the tax is also not a problem here.
Drivability of the car:
Allegedly incredibly improved, one notices from the innovations to the physics engine, unfortunately, nothing. The cars can be just as good as control in older titles in the series. Which should be noted is that this control is not realistic!
For gameplay, I give it 3/5 stars because it all has remained the same in itself, and also the flat the whole story does not help.
Likewise, the fun factor falls out with only 3 stars because it is a game that is sometimes fun times, but the period charm it is definitely not.
All in all, one can only guess fans of the series or casual gamers to buy, if you want realism or Party Fun, should rather resort to other titles.
